Delivery Lead - Fintech & AI-Augmented Development

Role Overview

We are seeking a Delivery Lead to own end-to-end project execution for our Fintech clients at the intersection of financial services and AI. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical leadership (development or functional consulting) with project management, leveraging AI tools to accelerate prototyping, standardize development practices, and ensure project profitability. You will work closely with PreSales to ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery and drive Fintech projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Scoping (AI-Leveraged)

- Partner with PreSales during handoff to deeply understand Fintech client requirements, regulatory constraints, and business commitments
- Rapidly develop working prototypes using AI-assisted development tools to validate scope and feasibility for banking, markets, or payment solutions
- Conduct detailed scoping sessions with clients to finalize requirements, timelines, and deliverables specific to financial services
- Create detailed project plans, resource estimates, and delivery roadmaps considering Fintech compliance and security requirements
- Identify risks early (regulatory, technical, integration) and propose mitigation strategies
- Establish clear acceptance criteria and success metrics with clients

Technical Leadership & Framework Development
- Design and develop reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators for Fintech development teams
- Leverage AI coding assistants and tools to maximize development velocity and code quality for financial applications
- Establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices specific to banking/markets/fintech solutions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards and financial industry compliance (PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, etc.)
- Make technology stack decisions and design scalable, secure solutions for financial services
- Hands-on development of critical components and complex integrations (core banking, payment gateways, trading platforms, etc.)
- Create technical documentation and knowledge base artifacts

Project Management & Delivery Excellence
- Own end-to-end project delivery from kickoff through go-live and hypercare for Fintech implementations
- Manage project timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets
- Track project profitability and implement corrective actions when needed
- Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and stakeholder updates
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, infrastructure, client teams, compliance)




- Manage scope changes through proper change control processes
- Ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards
- Escalate risks and issues proactively with proposed solutions

Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead and mentor development teams, providing technical guidance on Fintech solutions
- Onboard and train team members on frameworks, tools, and financial services domain knowledge
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and AI adoption in Fintech context
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Build team capabilities in AI-augmented development practices for financial applications

Client Relationship Management
- Serve as primary technical point of contact during Fintech project execution
- Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders (CTOs, Product Owners, Compliance teams)
- Manage client expectations and communicate progress transparently
- Identify opportunities for additional services or expansion within Fintech domain
- Ensure high client satisfaction and successful project outcomes

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in software development or functional consulting
- Mandatory: 3+ years of experience in Fintech, Banking, Capital Markets, or Financial Services projects within the last 5 years
- 3+ years of experience in project management or delivery leadership
- Proven experience in hands-on development or functional implementation
- Strong understanding of contemporary development frameworks and architectures
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)
- Understanding of financial services regulations and compliance requirements
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification (preferred)
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Experience managing teams of 20 developers/BA/Testers
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

Preferred Skills
- Experience with any Fintech technology stacks: core banking systems, payment platforms, trading systems, risk management, or wealth or consumer banking solutions
- Knowledge of any of these financial APIs, Open Banking, PSD2, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or FIX protocols
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in regulated financial services environments
- Experience with data analytics, AI/ML applications in financial services (fraud detection, Lending, Collateral, credit scoring, algorithmic trading, etc.)
- Industry certifications (e.g., ACCA/CA CFA, FRM, or Fintech-specific certifications)
- Background in consulting or professional services for financial institutions
- Experience building reusable frameworks or accelerators for Fintech
- Familiarity with project financials, resource utilization, and margin management
