We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef – Continental to assist in preparing and presenting high-quality continental dishes. The role supports the Head Chef and kitchen team in daily operations while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of continental dishes (Italian, French, European cuisine).
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines.
- Prepare mise en place and support service operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation.
- Follow food safety, FSSAI, and kitchen SOP standards.
- Assist in inventory handling and proper storage of ingredients.
- Support senior chefs during peak service hours.
- Minimize wastage and maintain quality consistency.
- Learn and adapt to current menu items and techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 0–2 years of experience as a Commis Chef (freshers can apply).
- Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in café, QSR, cloud kitchen, or hotel kitchens.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle pressure during busy hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹18,953.16 - ₹25,832.07 per month
