About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Loss Prevention Consultant to join our Asia Pacific division, based in our Mumbai office. This is a permanent, full-time position aimed at individuals with a background in engineering who are eager to develop their careers in loss prevention engineering.

As a Loss Prevention Consultant, you will play a vital role in assessing and mitigating risks at large commercial and industrial facilities. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and resilience of client operations, helping prevent potential disasters and property losses. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, providing extensive training and mentorship to help you understand FM’s industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of construction practices, project execution, and assessment of flood, wind, and earthquake risks.
- 2 to 7 years of relevant experience within large EPC organizations, project or construction management firms, or engineering roles supporting large industrial facilities, petrochemical plants, or complex commercial projects.




- Field or site engineering experience, demonstrating hands-on involvement in physical assessments.
- Strong business acumen and project leadership skills, with a proven ability to own deliverables and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently and engage directly with clients, project teams, and site personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proven technical capabilities with a broad understanding of engineering principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and related software tools.

Responsibilities The Loss Prevention Consultant will be responsible for conducting comprehensive site assessments, including physical inspections of client facilities such as roofs, water supply systems, dust hazards, chemical storage areas, and storage racks. You will evaluate potential risks and develop engineering solutions aligned with FM’s standards to help clients reduce vulnerabilities. Your role involves visiting client sites, performing risk assessments, and communicating findings effectively to clients and internal teams. You will be expected to build strong relationships with clients, understand their unique operational challenges, and provide tailored recommendations to enhance safety and resilience. Initially, your tasks will focus on learning FM’s standards and procedures through structured training and mentorship. As you gain experience, you will independently evaluate larger and more complex properties,



providing detailed reports and engineering advice. Your assessments will include evaluating physical conditions, hazard identification, and recommending mitigation strategies.

You will also participate in project planning, risk analysis, and the development of loss prevention strategies tailored to client needs.

Throughout your work, you will follow FM’s engineering standards and communicate technical solutions in a clear, professional manner. Your ability to listen actively, analyze complex situations, and build rapport with clients and team members will be essential to your success. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of projects, requiring excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
