About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Consultant to join our Asia Pacific Division, based in Mumbai. This is a permanent full-time position designed for a qualified engineer who is eager to develop a career in loss prevention engineering.

As a Loss Prevention Consultant, you will play a vital role in assessing and mitigating risks at client facilities, helping protect their assets and operations from potential hazards. You will have the opportunity to work independently on diverse projects, gaining valuable experience through structured training, mentorship, and real-world application. Your work will directly contribute to reducing property damage and business interruption for our clients, making a tangible difference in their safety and operational resilience.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Working knowledge of construction practices, project execution, and risk assessment related to flood, wind, and earthquake hazards.
- 2–7 years of relevant experience with large EPC organizations, project or construction management firms, or engineering roles supporting industrial facilities, petrochemical plants,



or complex commercial projects.
- Field or site engineering experience is highly preferred.
- Robust business acumen, project leadership skills, and a sense of ownership over deliverables.
- Willingness to travel and engage directly with clients, project teams, and site personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proven technical capability with diverse engineering principles knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities As a Loss Prevention Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive site assessments, identifying potential risks, and providing actionable recommendations to clients. You will manage a variety of tasks, including field visits to industrial and commercial properties, office work, and project management. Your role will involve evaluating physical properties such as roofs, water supply systems, dust hazards, chemical storage areas, and storage rack arrangements. These assessments are critical in helping clients understand their vulnerabilities and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. You will follow FM’s engineering standards and communicate your findings clearly to clients, ensuring they understand the technical recommendations. Building strong relationships and maintaining effective communication with clients, project teams,



and site personnel are essential components of this role. You will receive extensive training to familiarize yourself with FM’s industry standards and best practices, enabling you to develop your expertise progressively.

Initially, your assignments will be structured to facilitate learning and skill development. Over time, you will take on larger, more complex projects involving risk assessments for larger facilities.

Your responsibilities will include performing site evaluations, analyzing hazards, and proposing engineering solutions to prevent property damage and business disruption. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and resilience of client operations, making a significant impact on their risk management strategies.
