We are looking for a responsible and target-oriented Debt Collections / Recovery Team Leader to manage and supervise a team involved in customer recovery activities. The candidate will be responsible for team productivity, target achievement, performance coaching, MIS reporting, customer escalations, and ensuring that collection activities are carried out in compliance with applicable debt collection guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Team Management

Conduct daily team huddles and assign work accounts to team members.

Monitor daily productivity and field/calling activities of collection staff.

Ensure proper allocation and follow-up of assigned recovery accounts.

Track team performance and support achievement of collection targets.

Performance Coaching Train and support new collection agents.

Conduct regular one-on-one performance reviews.

Identify skill gaps and provide coaching to improve collection performance.

Guide team members in handling difficult customer conversations professionally.

Target Tracking & MIS Track daily and monthly recovery and collection performance.

Analyze daily MIS reports and identify performance gaps.

Monitor individual and team-level collection metrics.

Prepare and share performance updates with senior managers.

Take corrective action where targets or productivity levels are not being achieved.

Customer Escalations Handle difficult customer complaints and escalated recovery cases.





Support team members in resolving complex customer situations.

Ensure customer interactions are handled professionally and appropriately.

Maintain proper records of escalated cases and their resolutions.

Compliance & Process Management Ensure team members follow applicable debt collection laws, regulations, and company procedures.

Promote qualified and ethical recovery practices.

Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of collection activities.

Escalate compliance-related concerns to senior management when required.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in debt collection, recovery, banking, financial services, or related operations.

Candidates who can effectively manage and motivate a team.

Good communication and customer-handling abilities.

Comfortable working with recovery targets and performance metrics.

Able to analyze MIS reports and communicate performance updates.

Capable of handling difficult customer interactions and escalations professionally.

Candidates who understand the importance of compliant and ethical collection practices.
