A Washery Operator runs and maintains industrial machinery to clean, size, and process raw coal by removing impurities like rock and ash. Core Responsibilities

- Equipment Operation: Control crushers, screens, pumps, conveyors, and heavy washing equipment from a central panel or (Programmable Logic Controller).

- Process Regulation: Adjust water flow, air pressure, and specific gravity separators (like heavy media cones) to efficiently separate clean coal from waste.

- Quality Control: Collect samples and run basic physical or weighing tests to verify ash content levels meet required standards.

- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Inspect mechanical parts, transparent blockages, perform routine upkeep, and report major equipment failures.

- Safety Compliance:



Follow strict industrial safety protocols and keep the plant area clean.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, vocational training, or a technical certification in a relevant mechanical field.

- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a mineral processing plant, mining, or coal washery.

- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of coal sizing, separation physics, and basic control panel monitoring.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in noisy industrial environments, and lift heavy items.
