? Hiring: COO – EPC & Power Infrastructure

SWYN is looking for a senior business leader to lead a well-established, profitable EPC & electrical cable business through its next phase of growth and IPO readiness.

Position: Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer

? Engagement: Initially outsourced / milestone-based, with potential for a full-time CEO/COO mandate

About the Opportunity

This is a four-decade-old family-owned business with established operations in electrical cable trading and turnkey EPC contracting for power transmission and distribution utilities.

The company currently manages 8–10 active EPC projects, has a team of approximately 120 people, and is preparing for an IPO targeted for May–August 2027.

The mandate is for a hands-on COO who can build the leadership structure, strengthen operational discipline and take the organisation towards IPO readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Take direct ownership of EPC project execution, timelines, margins and cost control
- Assess and strengthen the organisation across the EPC and trading businesses
- Build a strong commercial function covering tendering, billing and payment collections
- Establish a professional leadership team across Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations
- Build appropriate board, governance,



compliance and reporting mechanisms
- Reduce day-to-day dependence on family members and professionalise operations
- Drive quick wins within the first 3 months
- Lead the organisation against the IPO readiness roadmap
- Build the right organisational structure and talent across the ~120-person business

Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with:

✅ 15–20+ years of leadership experience in EPC, power transmission & distribution or infrastructure contracting

✅ Previous CEO / COO / P&L; leadership experience in an EPC or project-execution business

✅ Robust exposure to project execution, commercial management and cost control

✅ Experience with IPO / institutional fundraising would be highly valuable

✅ Experience professionalising a family-run business is a strong advantage

✅ Ability to build teams, governance structures and functional leadership from the ground up

✅ A hands-on operator, not a strategy-only advisor

✅ Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai with on-site presence required
