We are looking for an experienced Chartering Manager to join our Commercial – Dry Bulk Operations team in Mumbai.

About the Role

As a Chartering Manager, you will be responsible for managing chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments, optimizing freight spreads, and maximizing voyage profitability.

Responsibilities

- Manage chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments
- Optimize freight spreads and maximize voyage profitability
- Execute Time Charter (TC), Voyage Charter (VC), and COA fixtures
- Negotiate charterparties with owners, brokers, and charterers
- Prepare voyage estimates and monitor P&L; performance
- Analyze freight markets and develop commercial strategies
- Build strong relationships with brokers, owners, and cargo interests
- Manage freight market exposure and operational risks

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in dry bulk chartering within an operator environment
- Proven experience managing chartered-in tonnage and cargo books
- Strong knowledge of Handy/Supramax markets; Panamax experience is an advantage
- Excellent understanding of charterparty negotiations, voyage economics,



and freight trading
- Proficiency in IMOS (VIP preferred) and voyage accounting systems
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
