ABOUT STURLITE

Sturlite Electric Private Limited is a fast-growing FMEG (Fast Moving Electrical Goods) company headquartered in Bengaluru, with a pan-India presence across Qualified Lighting, Wires & Cables (Voltedge), Switches, Solar (Zevolt), and Wellness products. As we continue expanding our Wires & Cables business, we are looking for a Category Manager who can drive category growth, strengthen product positioning, and deliver profitable business expansion.

THE ROLE

The Category Manager Wires & Cables will own the complete lifecycle of the categoryfrom product strategy and portfolio planning to pricing, product launches, and market growth. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, R&D;, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Channel teams to ensure sustainable business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and execute the category growth strategy for Wires & Cables.
- Manage the complete product portfolio, including House Wires, Flexible Cables, Industrial Cables, and Power Cables.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and pricing analysis.




- Identify new product opportunities based on customer and market requirements.
- Lead new product development (NPD) in collaboration with R&D; and Manufacturing teams.
- Define pricing strategy, product positioning, and profitability targets.
- Plan and execute successful product launches across key markets.
- Create product literature, brochures, technical presentations, and training materials.
- Conduct product training for Sales teams, distributors, and channel partners.
- Work closely with Marketing to drive brand visibility and category campaigns.
- Analyze sales performance, market share, and customer feedback to optimize product strategy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Supply Chain for product availability.
- Support key customer meetings and provide technical product guidance when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 815 years of experience in Product Management or Category Management within the Wires & Cables industry.
- Strong understanding of House Wires, Flexible Cables, Power Cables, Industrial Cables, and related electrical products.
- Experience in product lifecycle management and new product development.
- Strong commercial understanding of pricing, margins, and category profitability.
- Excellent analytical and market research skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in launching new products and managing product portfolios.
