Educe Micro Research is currently establishing an Electrotechnical Calibration Laboratory in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru, and is working towards NABL accreditation for the laboratory.
As we build our laboratory team, we are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in developing a career in precision measurement, electrotechnical calibration, electrical testing, and instrumentation .
Role Description
We are hiring 2 Calibration Technicians for our Electrotechnical Calibration Laboratory in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.
This is a full-time, on-site technical position suitable for Diploma candidates who are interested in electrical/electronic measurement, testing, instrumentation, calibration, and hands-on engineering work.
The selected candidates will work under the guidance of the Laboratory Technical Manager and other senior technical personnel. They will receive structured training and supervised hands-on experience in electrotechnical calibration as the laboratory progresses towards NABL accreditation .
When calibration activities are not scheduled, the technicians will also support Educe Micro Research's existing engineering operations, including routine assembly, testing, inspection, and related hands-on technical activities .
This provides an opportunity to develop broader practical experience in electrical/electronic equipment while also building specialized skills in precision measurement and calibration.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrotechnical Calibration
- Perform routine electrical and electronic measurements as per approved laboratory procedures and work instructions.
- Set up instruments, test equipment, connections, and measurement arrangements correctly and safely.
- Operate electrical and electronic test and measurement equipment under supervision.
- Take repeated measurements where required and record observations accurately.
- Check measurement readings for consistency and report abnormal or unexpected results to the Technical Manager.
- Maintain calibration observation sheets, equipment usage records, and other required technical documentation.
- Handle laboratory standards, instruments, accessories, and test equipment carefully.
- Follow laboratory procedures, safety requirements, quality-system practices, and instructions.
- Support laboratory activities associated with the company's ongoing work towards NABL accreditation .
Assembly, Testing & Engineering Support
- Perform routine assembly of electrical/electronic equipment and assemblies.
- Assist with routine testing and verification of products, assemblies, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Perform basic inspection and functional checks as instructed.
- Assist senior technical personnel in identifying and reporting defects, abnormal results, or assembly issues.
- Maintain appropriate records of assembly and testing activities.
- Follow established work instructions, safety practices, and quality requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Report errors, equipment abnormalities, damage, or deviations promptly.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization of the laboratory and work areas.
- Take proper care of company instruments, equipment, tools, and materials.
- Participate in technical training and competency assessments.
- Progressively develop technical competency and take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience increase.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, technical, and measurement information.
Equipment Exposure Depending on competency and assigned activities, candidates will receive hands-on exposure to professional test and measurement equipment, including:
- ZERA MT320 Portable Reference Meter
- Keysight 3458A 8½ Digit Digital Multimeter
- CalSource P350 Three-Phase AC Calibration Source
- MFC200 Multifunction Calibrator
Important Note for Applicants Previous calibration experience is not essential. Freshers are welcome to apply.
Candidates will receive training in laboratory procedures, electrical measurement techniques, calibration fundamentals, equipment operation, technical documentation, safety practices, and relevant quality requirements.
The initial role will focus on accurate measurement, correct equipment handling, proper recording of observations, routine assembly/testing, and following established procedures .
More advanced technical responsibilities will be assigned progressively as competency is demonstrated.
QualificationsEssential
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics / Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation , or a related technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic concepts.
- Basic numerical and calculation skills.
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on technical and laboratory setting.
Experience
- 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in calibration, electrical/electronic testing, instrumentation, production testing, quality/testing, test & measurement, assembly, or related areas will be an advantage.

Educe Micro Research is currently working towards NABL accreditation of its Electrotechnical Calibration Laboratory , giving selected candidates the opportunity to be part of the laboratory's development and gain practical exposure to laboratory procedures, measurement practices, documentation, equipment handling, and quality requirements.
When calibration activities are not scheduled, technicians will also participate in the company's existing assembly, testing, inspection, and engineering activities .
Selected candidates will receive hands-on training and progressively take on greater technical responsibility as their competency develops.
