Job Summary The Business Analyst (AI / Automation) supports intelligent automation delivery by translating business processes into clear automation-ready artifacts, including PDDs, As-Is and To-Be maps, business rules, exception handling, acceptance criteria, UAT scenarios, and operational readiness inputs.
This is a fully qualified, journey-level role responsible for independently leading process discovery, documentation, requirements definition, and automation candidate assessment for moderately complex automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional process discovery and automation readiness activities across multiple business areas or automation initiatives.
- Shape analysis approach, documentation quality, PDD standards, stakeholder alignment, and reusable process analysis practices for the IPA delivery model.
- Guide automation candidate assessment, including fit for deterministic automation, Communication Mining, IXP, orchestration, human-in-the-loop patterns, and agentic automation applicability.
- Lead Communication Mining analysis activities, including shared inbox assessment, taxonomy/model design support, label rules, training strategy, precision/recall review, edge case evaluation, and SME validation workflows.
- Mentor analysts and provide artifact review support for PDDs, As-Is and To-Be maps, requirements, business rules, exception matrices, UAT scenarios, and operational readiness inputs.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Run, compliance, security, and business stakeholders to resolve scope, control, value, and supportability issues.
- Contribute to IPA analysis standards, reusable templates, governance practices, value realization methods,
and continuous improvement of automation delivery quality.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru India is a requirement of the role. *
Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or B. Tech / B.E. in Information Systems, Operations, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Experience
- Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, process transformation, automation discovery, operational excellence, or enterprise process improvement is required.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional discovery efforts and shaping analysis approach across multiple stakeholders or initiatives.
- Experience with Communication Mining, shared inbox analysis, taxonomy design, label training, precision/recall review, model improvement cycles, or intelligent automation delivery preferred.
- Ability to assess automation options, including deterministic automation, agentic automation, human review patterns, controls, governance, and operational supportability.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, facilitation, analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and executive-ready communication skills. .
Preferred Experience
- Business Analysis, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, process modeling, or product delivery training/certification may be beneficial.
- Automation Business Analyst, Communication Mining, IXP, Document Understanding, or related Automation (UiPath/BluePrism/AutomationAnywhere) Academy training preferred based on assignment.
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments, distributed delivery models, governance reviews, controls documentation, or production support transition is helpful.
