Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Business Analyst with around 1 year of experience to support business planning, operational efficiency, manpower optimization, and cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with data, translating business requirements into actionable insights, and presenting findings through effective data visualization.

The candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for process and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support manpower planning and workforce optimization by analyzing headcount requirements, productivity, workload, utilization, and staffing gaps.
- Conduct cost analysis and optimization studies to identify potential savings and improve resource allocation.
- Develop business reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business insights.
- Gather, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business decision-making.
- Translate business requirements into analytical problems, reports, dashboards, and actionable recommendations.
- Work with business and functional teams to understand requirements and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets/targets and highlight key drivers.
- Prepare management presentations and executive-level reports with clear insights and recommendations.
- Track KPIs and operational metrics and provide periodic performance reporting.
- Build and maintain analytical models, MIS reports, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions.
- Support scenario analysis, forecasting,



and what-if analysis for manpower, costs, and operational planning.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in reporting and analytics.
- Present findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills

- 1 year of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Operations Analytics, Management Consulting, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree from a reputed institution; NIT/engineering background preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, charts, and data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI / Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Understanding of business metrics, KPIs, cost structures, and operational performance.
- Ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful business insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to manpower/workforce planning and optimization.
- Experience in cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
- Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis is a plus.
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma is desirable.
- Experience in developing automated dashboards and recurring management reports.
- Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making and business intelligence.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Graduation from an NIT or other reputed engineering institute is preferred.
