Business Development Executive
Role & responsibilities
- Business development / lead generation experience, ideally in architecture, engineering, infrastructure, or government consultancy sectors
- Familiarity with government procurement processes tender/RFP tracking, GeM portal, PSU and government department engagement
- Robust relationship-building and client liaison skills, especially with government officials and institutional clients
- Proposal support ability to assist with technical/commercial proposal inputs and coordination with the design/technical team
- Market intelligence tracking upcoming projects, budgets, and department activity across West Bengal
- Good written and verbal communication (English and Bengali preferred, given regional client interaction)
- Willingness to travel extensively within West Bengal
- Basic MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reports and presentations
Good to have
- Existing network within West Bengal government departments, PWD, urban development authorities, or PSUs
- Background in architecture/engineering/civil sector (even non-technical roles benefit from domain familiarity)
- Prior experience in a consultancy or EPC/infrastructure firm's BD team
- Bengali Language preferable
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (MIN)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (mandatory) — Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration preferred given the technical/government consultancy nature of the role
- MBA or PG diploma in Marketing/Business Development is a plus, not mandatory
- Prior exposure to government sector sales/BD (through coursework, internship, or work experience) is an added advantage
