We are looking for a driven and technically strong Backend Development Intern who can contribute from day one and work alongside our engineering team to build reliable and scalable systems.

nAbout the Role

nWe are seeking a Backend Development Intern with prior hands-on experience in backend development through internships, freelance projects, or significant personal projects. The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases, and server-side development.

nThis role is best suited for candidates who have already worked on production-level or internship projects and are looking to deepen their backend engineering expertise in a startup environment.

nKey Responsibilities

n

- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.
n
- Design and implement scalable server-side applications.
n
- Work with databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
n
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver complete solutions.
n
- Integrate third-party APIs and services when required.
n
- Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
n
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues.
n




- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
n
- Document technical workflows and backend architecture.
n

nRequirements

n

n
- Mandatory: Minimum 1–2 prior internships or equivalent hands-on experience in Backend Development.
n
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend technology stack, such as:
n

nGo (Golang)

nPython (Django/FastAPI/Flask)

nNode.js (Express.js/NestJS)

nJava (Spring Boot)

- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend system design.
n
- Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
n
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
n
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
n
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
n
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
n
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Preferred Qualifications
n
- Experience deploying applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
n
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
n
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
n
- Experience building scalable backend systems or microservices.
n
- Contributions to open-source projects or substantial personal projects.
