About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend & AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals who possess a deep expertise in Python backend development coupled with practical experience in building Large Language Model (LLM)-powered products.

As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated backend systems that integrate state-of-the-art AI capabilities. The ideal candidate is an AI-native engineer who actively follows emerging models, participates in technical communities, and ships innovative AI features in production environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of backend engineering and AI, influencing the development of next-generation intelligent systems.

Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in Python backend development. You should possess solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.





Hands-on experience with AI technologies, particularly LLMs, agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and inference platforms, is essential. Familiarity with low-level systems programming in C or C++ is a significant plus. Candidates should have a working understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, networking, and operating systems.

Proven experience in building production APIs, scalable databases, and system integrations is required. Additionally, the ideal applicant demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, works independently, and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Prior startup experience or exposure to high-growth tech companies is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and scale robust backend systems, APIs, and services using Python to support AI-driven products.
- Implement and ship production-grade AI features utilizing LLMs, agents, RAG, vector databases, inference engines, and tool calling mechanisms.
- Take full ownership of features from initial architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, inference platforms, and developer tooling to continuously enhance system capabilities.
- Debug, optimize, and improve system performance, scalability,



and reliability in production environments.
- Leverage AI coding tools daily to accelerate development cycles while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with business and product goals.
- Stay updated on the latest AI research, models, and industry trends to inform development strategies.
