Job Title : Automation Test Engineer

OSI Digital is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer for its Quality Engineering practice. This person will design, build, and execute automated test solutions across web and API layers, while also contributing hands-on to manual testing activities and AI-driven test automation research.

This is a hands-on delivery role that suits someone with strong automation engineering fundamentals, solid manual testing discipline, and a genuine interest in applying AI to make testing faster and smarter, while working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright for web and API testing.
- Write and maintain automation code in Python, Java, or TypeScript, following clean, maintainable coding practices.
- Apply strong understanding of automation frameworks, locator strategies, test design techniques, and debugging to build reliable, low-maintenance test suites.
- Review and understand test plans, perform test design, execute manual test cases, and report defects clearly and thoroughly.
- Communicate test status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders.
- Operate effectively both as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative QA team.
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and deliver testing work within sprint timelines.
- Contribute to AI based research and proof-of-concept development across Selenium, Playwright, Python, and Postman.
- Explore AI-driven test generation, self-healing automation,



and intelligent failure analysis techniques.
- Work with the team to integrate AI solutions into existing automation frameworks.

Required Skills

- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium and Playwright.
- Strong manual testing experience, including test plan interpretation, test design, test execution, and defect reporting.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
- API and UI automation, regression, and in-sprint testing.
- Good understanding of automation frameworks, locator strategies, test design, and debugging techniques.
- Ability to build and maintain reusable, scalable automation scripts.
- Contribute to AI based research and POC development across Selenium, Playwright, Python, and Postman.
- Familiarity with AI-driven test generation, self-healing automation, and intelligent failure analysis.
- Comfortable exploring new tools and integrating AI-based solutions into existing automation frameworks.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control workflows.
- Prior exposure to AI or GenAI based testing tools

- Has only manual testing experience with no hands-on automation exposure.
- Is not willing to work from the office.
- Is unwilling to work with new AI-based testing approaches.
- Struggles to work independently without close supervision.
