Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Siemens PLC programming and industrial automation. The candidate should have practical knowledge of PLC, HMI, sensors, motors, VFDs/drives, and electrical control systems.

The candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing automation support at customer sites in India and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal.
- Work with Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs.
- Configure and troubleshoot PROFINET and industrial communication networks.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFDs/drives, including Siemens and other major brands.
- Hands-on experience with motors, sensors, proximity sensors, encoders, switches, and field instruments.
- Perform PLC panel testing, I/O testing, loop checking, and functional testing.
- Carry out machine/system commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Diagnose electrical and automation-related faults during commissioning.
- Interface PLCs with VFDs, motors, sensors, HMI, and other field devices.
- Prepare and maintain PLC/HMI programs, backup files, I/O lists, and commissioning documents.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and customer teams during site activities.




- Willingness to travel within India and abroad for project installation, commissioning, and service activities.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens TIA Portal.
- Good knowledge of Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500 PLC programming.
- Knowledge of digital and analog I/O, interlocks, alarms, sequences, and troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of VFD parameterization and PLC-drive communication.
- Good understanding of industrial sensors and field wiring.
- Basic knowledge of electrical control panels and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Siemens G120/G120C drives.
- Experience with Siemens/ABB VFDs.
- Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of PROFINET, Modbus, TCP/IP, Profibus, or other industrial communication protocols.
- Experience in industrial plant commissioning.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on industrial automation experience.
- Must have practical experience in Siemens PLC programming, not only theoretical knowledge.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willing to travel to customer sites within India and abroad.
- Ability to work independently during commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
- Male candidates preferred, with willingness for frequent site travel. Travel time ~ 50%
