Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman with 1.5–2.5 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bhubaneswar. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD based on engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Prepare and modify 2D electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare electrical layouts for building and infrastructure projects.
- Develop:
- Lighting layouts
- Power layouts
- Small power layouts
- Electrical equipment layouts
- Cable tray layouts
- Cable routing drawings
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Panel and DB schedules/layouts
- Earthing layouts
- Lightning protection layouts
- Electrical room layouts
- Read and understand electrical design drawings, specifications, schematics, and engineering markups.
- Convert engineering sketches, markups, and design inputs into accurate CAD drawings.
- Update drawings based on design changes, revisions, and comments.
- Maintain proper layers, blocks, dimensions, annotations, line types, symbols, and drawing standards.
- Prepare detailed drawings for construction and execution purposes.
- Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural and other service drawings.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and coordinate with engineers for necessary corrections.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, and documentation.
- Ensure all drawings meet project and company drafting standards.
- Perform self-checking of drawings for accuracy, completeness,



and consistency.
- Complete assigned drawings within project schedules and deadlines.
- Support senior engineers/designers with drawing preparation and revisions.
- Maintain organized CAD files, XREFs, blocks, and other project-related drawing information.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1.5–2.5 years of experience as an Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings, symbols, layouts, and drafting practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of layers, blocks, XREFs, dimensions, annotations, and plotting in AutoCAD.
- Understanding of basic building electrical services.
- Valuable attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work from the Bhubaneswar office.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working on building electrical projects.
- Knowledge of electrical drafting standards and practices.
- Experience with international projects will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with MS Office/Excel for maintaining drawing registers and documentation.
- Knowledge of Revit is not mandatory.
