Founded by Sanjyot Keer, the chef behind Your Food Lab, and Neeraj Kumawat, with Raj Shamani as a strategic adviser, Cüraa is building kitchen appliances designed specifically for how Indians cook.

Since launching in September 2024, Cüraa has already reached 3 lakh+ Indian households.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Associate Video Editor who has strong editing fundamentals, a genuine interest in content, and a desire to learn and grow within an experienced post-production team.

You’ll work closely with the creative and post-production teams across Your Food Lab and Cüraa, working on content ranging from food storytelling to product-led campaigns.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on your strengths and experience, you could work across:

- Long-form YouTube videos
- Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content Recipe and food-led storytelling Product-led food content for Cüraa Branded integrations and collaborations Campaigns, launches and other digital-first content
- Are you exceptional at short-form? That works too. You don’t necessarily need to be a long-form + short-form editor if short-form content is where you excel.

What We’re Looking For

Editing Skills

Our first preference is for editors who are highly proficient in Final Cut Pro , as it is our primary editing platform.

We’re also open to strong Adobe Premiere Pro editors who are willing to learn Final Cut Pro and transition into our workflow. Support will be provided by the existing team.

Beyond software proficiency, we’re looking for someone with:





- Strong storytelling and pacing skills
- Excellent music sense and an instinct for choosing the right track
- The ability to cut and transition naturally with music and beats
- A strong understanding of long-form vs. short-form editing
- A good sense of hooks, retention and payoff
- The ability to identify the strongest moments from raw footage and build an engaging narrative
- Strong visual judgment when working with food, products and people
- Attention to detail across sound, graphics, text, transitions and finishing
- An understanding of content creation across YouTube, Instagram and other social platforms
- The ability to take feedback, iterate quickly and collaborate with directors, producers and other editors
- Strong organisation when managing footage, projects, versions and deadlines

The Kind of Editor we want, We aren’t looking for someone who simply knows editing software.

We’re looking for someone who understands content.

You should be able to watch raw footage and instinctively think about:

- What should the viewer feel?
- Where might their attention drop?
- Where should the music change?
- What moment needs to breathe?
- What can be cut?
- What will make someone watch until the end?

For food content, you should understand how to make food feel aspirational, delicious and exciting without over-editing it. At Cüraa, you’ll also work on content where food and products need to coexist naturally within the same story, so an understanding of product storytelling and visual presentation is a strong advantage.
