PUBLICIS GROUPE

:
n
nBusiness: Publicis Production India | Publicis Groupe
nReporting to: Head – Strategy & Creative
n
nThis Is Not a Conventional Planning Role
n
nWe are not looking for someone whose work ends with an audience definition, a communications brief or a strategy presentation.
n
nWe are looking for a strategist who can understand how people actually behave, identify where brands can become meaningfully relevant, and turn that understanding into systems that Creative, Media, Data, Technology and Production teams can build and deploy.
n
nThe role sits inside Prodigious India’s Intelligent Creativity practice.
n
nThat means working beyond traditional campaign planning to shape:
n
n
n
- behavioural audience systems,
n
- content ecosystems,
n
- brand platforms and intellectual properties,
n
- data-informed creative frameworks,
n
- agile and modular communication systems,
n
- and new ways of using AI to improve both thinking and execution.
n
n
nYou will work across disciplines rather than inside a single strategic lane.
n
nOne day, you may be interrogating an audience assumption with a Data team.
n
nThe next, you may be helping Creative teams turn a behavioural tension into a scalable content system.
n
nYou may then work with Media, Product and Production teams to determine how that system changes across signals, contexts, formats and platforms.
n
nThe job is not to add a strategy layer to other people’s work.
n
nIt is to create the strategic logic that helps different teams work as one connected system.
n
nWhat You Will Do:
n
nFind Behavioural Opportunities:
n
nLook beyond broad audience labels and surface-level trends to understand the repeated behaviours, tensions, routines and cultural shifts that create real opportunities for brands.
n
nYou will:
n
n
- identify meaningful patterns in how people behave, consume, participate, choose and respond;
n
- separate durable behaviour from temporary noise;
n
- turn cultural and behavioural observations into clear strategic opportunities;
n
- challenge generic audience definitions and convenient category assumptions;
n
- and identify where a brand has the right to participate, rather than simply where attention exists.
n
n
nBuild Strategic Systems:
n
nTranslate insight into structures that can actually be used by teams.
n
nThis may include:
n
n
- audience and behavioural frameworks;
n
- content ecosystems;
n
- brand platforms and intellectual properties;
n
- communication territories;
n
- dynamic content logic;
n
- modular messaging systems;
n
- and strategic playbooks that connect insight to execution.
n
n
nThe expectation is not only to develop a compelling direction.
nIt is to make that direction usable, scalable and clear enough for multiple disciplines to act on.
n
nConnect Data With Human Meaning:
n
nWork closely with Media, Data, Analytics and Research teams to turn signals into strategic understanding.
n
nYou will use:
n
n
- audience intelligence,
n
- media and performance data,
n
- search behaviour,
n
- social listening,
n
- platform signals,
n
- research,
n
- and cultural observation.
n
n
nBut data is not the strategy.
n
nYour job is to interpret what the signals suggest about behaviour, motivation, friction and opportunity and identify what they allow the brand to do differently.
n
nShape Intelligent Creativity:
n
nHelp define how Publicis Production uses AI to build more adaptive, relevant and scalable content systems.
n
nThis includes exploring:
n
n
- AI-assisted strategic development;
n
- agentic workflows;
n
- dynamic creative systems;
n
- signal-led content variation;
n
- automation across content operations;
n
- and new models that connect strategy, creativity and production.
n
n
nWe are not looking for someone who merely follows AI developments.
nWe are looking for someone who can ask better questions of the technology, understand where it genuinely improves the work, and resist using it where it only creates speed without intelligence.
n
nMake Different Disciplines Work Together:
n
nThis role works across Creative, Media, Data, Social, Technology, Product, Production and Client Leadership.
n
nYou will not simply coordinate these teams.
n
nYou will help create the shared logic that connects their decisions.
n
nThat means:
n
n
- defining the strategic problem clearly;
n
- resolving conflicting interpretations;
n
- ensuring data informs creativity without flattening it;
n
- helping creative ideas survive operational reality;
n
- and making sure execution remains connected to the original human opportunity.
n
n
nLead the Strategic Conversation:
n
nYou will be a senior voice within the practice and a close strategic partner to the VP – Creative & Strategy.
n
nYou will be expected to:
n
n
- lead complex strategic assignments;
n
- present confidently to senior clients and internal leadership;
n
- challenge assumptions without creating theatre;
n
- bring clarity when multiple teams see the problem differently;
n
- guide and raise the quality of other strategists;
n
- and represent the strategic practice independently when required.
n
n
nAuthority in this role will not come from having the most frameworks in the room.
nIt will come from seeing the problem clearly, making strong distinctions and helping everyone move forward.
n
nThe Kind of Strategist We Are Looking For:
n
nYou are likely to have 6–8 years of experience across one or more of the following:
n
n
- creative strategy,
n
- digital strategy,
n
- communications planning,
n
- content strategy,
n
- brand strategy,
n
- media strategy,
n
- social strategy,
n
- or integrated marketing.
n
n
nYour exact background matters less than the way you think.
n
nYou should be someone who:
n
n
- starts with human behaviour, not demographic shorthand;
n
- can move comfortably between culture, data, creativity and execution;
n
- sees patterns without forcing everything into a framework;
n
- can simplify complexity without making the thinking simplistic;
n
- understands that a trend is not automatically an opportunity;
n
- is curious about AI but not seduced by novelty;
n
- can turn abstract thinking into practical systems;
n
- can write and present with clarity;
n
- is comfortable challenging senior stakeholders;
n
- and enjoys working with people who approach the same problem from very different disciplines.
n
n
nYou should also have a strong understanding of:
n
n
- digital and platform behaviour;
n
- content and creator ecosystems;
n
- internet and participatory culture;
n
- audience and media data;
n
- performance signals;
n
- strategic storytelling;
n
- and the realities of producing content at scale.
n
n
nWhy This Role Is Different
n
nMost strategy roles operate within a defined part of the process.
nThis one is designed to move across it.
nYou will have the opportunity to influence:
n
n
- how audiences are understood;
n
- how behavioural opportunities are identified;
n
- how content systems are designed;
n
- how data and creativity work together;
n
- how AI changes strategic and creative development;
n
- and how ideas move from strategic thinking into repeatable execution.
n
n
nYou will be helping build the operating model for Intelligent Creativity at Publicis Production India, not simply delivering work inside an existing one.
n
nThat requires curiosity.
n
nIt also requires judgement.
n
nBecause the goal is not to produce more content, more frameworks or more technology.
n
nIt is to create more relevant thinking and make it work at scale.
