About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Interior Designer to support our architecture and interior design projects. The candidate will be involved in designing, 2D drafting, 3D modelling, working drawings, material selection and basic site coordination under the guidance of senior designers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Concept & Development

- Assist in developing architectural and interior design concepts based on project requirements.
- Assist with mood boards, material boards, colour schemes and design presentations.
- Assist with material, finish and hardware selections as per the design.
- Develop 3D models and interior views using SketchUp.
- Prepare basic 3D renders/presentations using available rendering software.
- Incorporate design changes and revisions based on feedback from senior designers and clients.

Space Planning & Drawing Preparation

- Develop floor plans, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations and sections.




- Prepare accurate 2D drawings and working drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop kitchen, wardrobe, furniture and other joinery drawings.
- Prepare basic electrical, lighting and plumbing layouts as required for interior projects.

Documentation & Drawing Management

- Prepare and maintain updated drawing sets, revisions and project documentation.
- Check drawings against actual site conditions and report discrepancies to the senior designer.
- Ensure assigned drawings and design deliverables are completed within the given timelines.

Site Visits & Coordination

- Assist in site measurements, site visits and site coordination.
- Coordinate with designers, vendors, contractors and site teams wherever required.
- Verify site conditions and communicate any discrepancies or required changes to the senior designer.
- Incorporate site-related changes into drawings and project documentation as required.

Client Enquiry & Requirement Understanding

- Handle incoming customer enquiries through calls, walk-ins, online leads and other assigned channels.
- Understand the client's requirements, lifestyle, budget, preferences, timeline and scope of work.
- Conduct initial client discussions and explain the company's interior design and execution solutions.
- Regular CRM hygiene checks should be conducted to ensure all records remain accurate, complete, and up to date.

Technical Skills / Software Knowledge

Required

- AutoCAD – Good working knowledge of 2D drafting, layers, blocks,



dimensions, hatches, annotations and layouts.
- SketchUp – Basic to good knowledge of 3D modelling and interior space development.
- Basic understanding of architectural drawings, scale, dimensions and detailing.

Advantage

Knowledge of the following will be an added advantage:

- V-Ray / Enscape / Lumion – 3D rendering and visualisation.
- Revit – BIM and architectural modelling.
- Adobe Photoshop – presentation, mood boards and image editing.
- Adobe Illustrator / InDesign – design presentations and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets for schedules and project documentation.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
- 0–1 year of relevant experience in architecture, interior design or a design consultancy.
- Freshers with good technical skills and a strong design portfolio may also apply.
- Good understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, proportions, materials and basic construction details.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and interior drawings.
- Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, joinery and hardware is preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and handling multiple project requirements.
- Holds a high degree of willingness to learn and performance driven.
