Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager HR Compliance to manage and monitor statutory HR and labour-law compliance across the organisation, including corporate offices, project sites, and contractor workforce.

The role will be responsible for ensuring timely compliance with applicable labour laws, maintaining statutory records and registers, coordinating with government authorities and external consultants, and supporting internal and external compliance audits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable central and state labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, and other applicable labour regulations.
- Monitor statutory registrations, licences, renewals, returns, challans and related documentation.
- Keep track of changes in labour legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of all statutory requirements.

2. Construction & Project-Site Compliance

- Ensure HR and labour-law compliance at construction/project sites.
- Monitor compliance requirements applicable to construction establishments and project locations.
- Coordinate with project HR teams, site administration, contractors and other stakeholders to close compliance gaps.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews of project sites and provide corrective-action recommendations.

3. Contractor & Labour Compliance

- Manage statutory compliance of contractors, vendors and manpower agencies.
- Verify contractor documentation, including labour licences, PF/ESIC records, wage registers, attendance, challans and statutory returns.
- Ensure contractors comply with applicable labour laws and company policies.
- Conduct periodic contractor compliance audits and follow up on non-compliances.




- Maintain a central database of contractor compliance documents and records.

4. Compliance Audits & Inspections

- Coordinate internal and external HR compliance audits.
- Prepare required records and documentation for statutory inspections and audits.
- Liaise with government departments, labour authorities, PF/ESIC officials and external consultants when required.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of compliance findings.
- Prepare MIS and management reports highlighting compliance status and risk areas.

5. HR Documentation & Records

- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory registers, records and employee documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee and contractor compliance data.
- Support implementation and maintenance of HR compliance systems and dashboards.
- Ensure proper documentation and record retention as per statutory and company requirements.

6. Policy & Process Support

- Assist in developing and implementing HR compliance policies, SOPs and processes.
- Review HR processes to identify potential statutory and compliance risks.
- Support management in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide guidance to HR and business teams on routine labour-compliance matters.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Robust knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory HR compliance.
- Good understanding of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages and contractor compliance.
- Exposure to real estate/construction industry and project-site compliance will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/compliance management systems.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in HR .

Preferred Experience

- 5-7 years of experience in HR statutory compliance.
- Experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure, EPC or similar industries will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling multi-location/project-site compliance and contractor workforce compliance will be preferred.
