Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager – Accounts role based in Mumbai.

The Assistant

Manager – Accounts will oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger postings, bank reconciliations, and vendor and customer account management. The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.



The individual will coordinate with internal departments and external auditors, assist in tax-related documentation, and help streamline accounting processes and controls. The position requires hands-on work with accounting software, accurate record-keeping, and timely financial reporting to support business decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong core accounting skills including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, MS Excel, and basic data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage month-end and year-end closing activities, support audits, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
