Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hospital IT operations and provide technical support to clinical, administrative, and support departments.
- Administer and maintain Toad for Oracle, CareWorks (HIMS), and Laboratory Information System (LIS) to ensure smooth system operations.
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity across the hospital.
- Manage and maintain firewall, network security, and access controls to protect hospital IT infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, including user creation, modification, access permissions, password management, and account deactivation.
- Monitor and maintain CCTV/surveillance systems and coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ensure regular data backup, restoration, data protection, and disaster recovery procedures are implemented and monitored.
- Maintain IT hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, servers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, HIMS, LIS, and other IT-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with software vendors, hardware vendors, internet service providers,
and AMC/service providers for technical support and system maintenance.
- Ensure appropriate IT security, user access control, antivirus protection, and system updates are maintained.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential IT issues before they affect hospital operations.
- Support integration and smooth functioning of IT systems used by OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Billing, HR, Finance, and other departments.
- Maintain proper documentation of IT assets, user accounts, network infrastructure, licenses, AMC contracts, and IT incidents.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies related to IT security, data confidentiality, backup, and access management.
- Provide IT support during implementation, upgrades, configuration, and testing of recent systems and applications.
- Conduct basic IT awareness and system training for hospital staff whenever required.
- Prepare and maintain IT reports, incident logs, backup reports, asset records, and system documentation.
- Ensure minimum downtime and maintain business continuity of critical hospital IT applications and infrastructure.
