We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead business growth across the assigned geography.
The role will be responsible for driving vehicle sales, increasing market share, strengthening channel performance, building key customer relationships and ensuring strong execution across the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Own sales volume, revenue and market-share targets for the assigned area
- Develop and execute territory and area-level sales plans
- Drive dealer and channel performance across the geography
- Improve product penetration across key markets and customer segments
- Build strong relationships with fleet owners, institutional customers and key accounts
- Drive new product launches and market-development initiatives
- Monitor competition, pricing, schemes and market developments
- Identify white-space opportunities and develop actions to improve market share
- Lead, guide and review territory sales teams and channel partners
- Improve dealer productivity and sales effectiveness
- Ensure solid customer connect and customer satisfaction
- Track sales funnel, enquiries, retail conversion and market performance
- Work closely with internal teams on product, service, finance and customer requirements
- Travel extensively across the assigned geography
Preferred candidate profile
Candidate Profile
- 815 years of relevant sales experience
- Strong experience in Commercial Vehicles or Construction Equipment OEMs
- Proven track record in territory / area sales and market-share growth
- Experience managing dealer or channel networks
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle customers, fleet owners and regional market dynamics
- Experience independently handling a sizeable geography
- Strong business planning, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
- Gujarat market exposure will be strongly preferred
- Gujarati / Hindi language capability will be preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively
