About SyntroForge

SyntroForge is an early-stage AI startup building an AI Software Engineer capable of understanding codebases, planning and implementing changes, running tests, debugging issues, and creating reviewable GitHub pull requests.

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI/ML & Generative AI Intern to work directly with the founding team on the core intelligence layer of SyntroForge.

This is a hands-on product-building role where you will experiment with LLMs, AI agents and code-understanding workflows while helping us build our MVP.

Responsibilities

- Build and experiment with LLM-powered AI agents
- Develop workflows for repository and codebase understanding
- Work on task planning and autonomous code-generation pipelines
- Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or open-source models
- Explore RAG, embeddings and vector databases
- Implement tool/function calling for AI agents
- Build testing, debugging and self-correction loops
- Integrate AI workflows with Git/GitHub
- Evaluate model accuracy, reliability, latency and cost
- Collaborate with backend developers on the SyntroForge MVP
- Research new developments in agentic AI and developer tools

Who Can Apply? Students or recent graduates in CSE, AI/ML, Data Science or related fields .

You don't need years of experience. Strong projects, GitHub activity and the ability to build matter more than certificates.

Compensation: No stipend at the current pre-MVP stage; potential for a paid opportunity based on future requirements and performance.
