AI Nexus Innovations Hub is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup building AI-native platforms. Medorbit.ai is our AI-powered Hospital Management System (HMS) designed for Indian hospitals and clinics – and we're embedding clinical decision-support AI directly into the doctor's workflow.

What You'll Build

1️⃣ AI Lab Report Intelligence

→ Build a pipeline that reads a patient's last lab reports (PDF – digital and scanned) and extracts test values, reference ranges, and trends

→ Generate a concise, doctor-ready summary so the doctor doesn't have to review every past report during consultation

→ Build predictive summaries: highlight trends, deteriorating markers, cross-parameter correlations, and early-risk indicators that are easy to miss when reading reports one at a time

→ Generate AI-assisted consultation suggestions – points the doctor can discuss with the patient, follow-up tests to consider, and what to watch for next

→ Surface what the eye can miss: subtle out-of-range drift, patterns across multiple reports, and correlations across test panels





2️⃣ AI-Assisted X-Ray Analysis

→ Train and fine-tune deep learning models on chest and other X-ray datasets to detect abnormalities and predict likely conditions

→ Build a "second pair of eyes" for doctors – flag regions of interest and findings a doctor might overlook, with confidence scores and explainability (e.g. Grad-CAM heatmaps)

→ Integrate the imaging model into the HMS so results appear directly inside the doctor's consultation view

3️⃣ Platform & Integration

→ Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG & AI agents to build intelligent clinical workflows

→ Integrate AI models into the HMS via REST APIs and build data pipelines for training and inference

→ Design outputs that are safe, explainable, and clearly presented as decision support – the doctor always makes the final call

→ Collaborate directly with the founding team on architecture & product decisions

→ Own features end-to-end with real impact (yes, even as a fresher)

What You Bring

Must-Have:

→ B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field

→ Strong fundamentals in Python and at least one ML framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn)

→ Understanding of ML concepts: supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks (CNNs), NLP basics

→ Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, or prompt engineering

→ Interest in healthcare AI and building tools that doctors actually use





→ Solid problem-solving skills and a builder's mindset

→ Excellent communication skills

→ Self-starter mentality – comfortable in a fast-paced startup workplace

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points!):

→ Projects in medical imaging (chest X-ray classification, segmentation) or document AI (PDF parsing, OCR)

→ Exposure to LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vector databases

→ Experience with OCR / document extraction tools (Tesseract, Azure/AWS Document AI, LayoutLM)

→ Familiarity with public medical datasets (NIH ChestX-ray14, CheXpert, MIMIC-CXR)

→ Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) or ABDM

→ Knowledge of Java, Scala, or Apache Spark (big data ecosystem)

→ Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

→ Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines

→ HealthTech or SaaS product experience
