Description Cognizant is hiring an AI Customer Engineer to build scalable AI agent solutions and accelerate enterprise adoption of Generative AI. The role focuses on production-grade AI applications, cloud-native delivery, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Role: AI Customer Engineer

Location: Bangalore / Chennai / India

Experience

- Hands-on experience with Google ADK or Copilot Studio, or similar agent-building tools such as CrewAI or Autogen
- Hands-on working knowledge of prompts, instructions, tools, reasoning, and guardrails in AI agent development
- Strong experience with RAG pipelines, Vector DBs, tokenization, and prompt engineering
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Python libraries
- Very robust experience developing RESTful APIs in Python using FastAPI
- Hands-on experience with Docker-based deployments
- Leveraging GitHub for code repository and version control is mandatory
- Interpretation of microservices design principles and cloud computing basics
- Strong communication and articulation skills

Responsibilities

- Build and deploy AI agents and GenAI-powered applications using modern frameworks and platforms
- Design and implement RAG pipelines, prompt engineering workflows, and LLM integrations
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs for AI-driven systems
- Enable cloud-native deployments with containerization and microservices architecture
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, high-performing AI solutions




- Work as a member of the AI Engineering team to deliver intelligent, production-grade AI applications

Additional Responsibilities

- Work from office in an onsite model requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office
- Interview participation may be in person or by video conference
- Candidates may be required to present current state or government issued ID during each interview
