Role Description The AGM Production (Assistant General Manager – Production) is a full-time, on-site role based in Ghaziabad. This position oversees daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing targets for flat products and tubular hollow sections are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, monitoring machinery and process performance, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and optimizing resource utilization. The role also involves leading and mentoring production supervisors and operators, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.



The AGM Production will report on key performance indicators, support cost-control measures, and contribute to strategic decisions related to plant operations and capacity planning.

Qualifications

- Strong production management skills, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in steel or metals manufacturing, ideally with flat products, hollow sections, and continuous process lines.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, process control, and safety standards in industrial environments.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, manage shifts, and develop staff through coaching and performance management.
- Experience with production reporting, data analysis, and use of ERP or similar manufacturing software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production, or Industrial Engineering; an advanced degree or MBA in Operations is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement, cost optimization, and waste reduction.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership.
- Willingness to work in office in Ghaziabad and be available for extended hours or shifts as required by production demands.
