We are a civil and infrastructure contracting firm handling active water supply and pipeline projects for the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to handle our day-to-day accounts, site expenses, vendor ledgers, and bill entries related to DJB work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily books of accounts, including vouchers, material purchases, site petty cash, and labor payments using Tally Prime.
- Assist in preparing Running Account (RA) bills, final site bills, and payment reconciliation for DJB contracts.
- Track incoming client payments, Security Deposits (SD), Earnest Money Deposits (EMD), and Bank Guarantees (BG).
- Reconcile vendor ledgers, fuel bills, and sub-contractor accounts against site receipts and measurement records.
- Maintain records of statutory deductions, including GST, TDS, and Labour Cess applicable to government contracts.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project managers to collect and verify physical bill vouchers.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent accounting credential.
- Software Skills: Hands-on proficiency in Tally (Prime or ERP 9) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Experience: 0 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of GST, TDS, vendor management, and basic banking procedures.
