Role Description The Accountant role at K. M Textile is a full-time, on-site position based in Punjab, India. The selected candidate will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking receivables and payables, assisting with payroll calculations, and supporting tax and statutory compliance. The role also involves preparing periodic financial reports, monitoring expenses, assisting in budgeting, and coordinating with auditors or external consultants when required.



The Accountant will work closely with management to provide accurate financial data that supports decision-making and ensures smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in general accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger management, including handling accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, basic financial reports, and support budgeting and cost tracking.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar) and proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools.
- Knowledge of relevant Indian tax laws, GST, and statutory compliance applicable to manufacturing and textile businesses.
- Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or textile environment is preferred but not mandatory.
