We combine enterprise data, external intelligence, AI and software engineering to help organizations build systems that continuously understand context, generate intelligence and support action.

Our model sits between traditional product companies and services firms. We build reusable technology and engineering patterns, while deploying them against real enterprise problems and adapting them to different client environments.

Bloom AI in based in U.S. and India (Delhi/NCR). This will be a hybrid work set-up.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead who can lead the design and delivery of modern AI and data applications, while managing a small team of engineers. The role reports to the Founder/CEO.

This is a broad engineering role and we are looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, good architectural judgment and enough range across software, data, cloud and AI to lead end-to-end solutions .

You will remain hands-on, lead a team of approximately 3–5 engineers , work directly with clients and help shape how Bloom builds and scales its technical capabilities.

This is not a pure product role . You will work across client solutions, reusable Bloom capabilities and internal technology. The challenge is to solve specific enterprise problems while continuously identifying what can be standardized, reused and improved across engagements.

What You'll Do

Own the technical delivery of AI and data applications from:





problem definition → architecture → build → deployment

You will work across systems that may include:
Modern web applications
Backend services and APIs
Structured and unstructured data
Data pipelines and processing
LLM-powered applications
Retrieval and search
Agentic workflows
Enterprise integrations
Cloud infrastructure

You do not need to build every layer yourself, but you should understand how the pieces fit together and be able to make sound technical decisions across the system.

Stay Hands On

This is not a pure management role.

You will be expected to:
Write and review production code
Build critical components yourself
Debug complex technical issues
Review system design and architecture
Prototype new approaches quickly
Help the team solve technically difficult problems

We expect you to be strongest in a few areas while being comfortable working across the broader stack.

Lead Small Engineering Team

Lead approximately 3–5 engineers across client engagements and internal development.

You will:
Set technical direction
Break complex problems into executable work
Review code and architecture
Mentor engineers
Maintain engineering quality




Manage technical priorities across multiple workstreams
Ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable and scalable

We are looking for someone who can raise the engineering bar while still helping the team move quickly.

Work Across Clients

Engineering at Bloom is client-facing.

You will work with both business and technical stakeholders to:
Understand business workflows
Translate problems into technical solutions
Assess feasibility
Define architecture
Explain technical trade-offs
Present prototypes and solutions
Work through enterprise technology constraints
Support deployment and adoption

You should be comfortable explaining technical decisions clearly without relying on unnecessary jargon.

What We're Looking For

5–7 years of software engineering experience
Strong hands-on software development experience
Experience owning applications or systems end-to-end
Strong Python / backend development skills
Strong AI Experience and update knowledge of developments
Team leadership skills
Good understanding of up-to-date frontend development
Experience designing and building APIs
Strong SQL and database fundamentals
Experience working with data-intensive applications
Production experience with at least one major cloud platform
Good understanding of software architecture, testing and deployment
