Your success is our blueprint. Let’s build the future of work—together.

About Role

The Senior Associate / Associate Lead – Workplace Design serves as the design lead for assigned projects, combining hands-on design involvement with strong team leadership.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of designers, maintain high design standards from concept development through documentation and on-site execution, and act as the senior design authority for the project. You will represent and articulate the team’s creative vision in client interactions, guiding day-to-day discussions with confidence, clarity, and strategic perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership on Projects

- Set the design direction on assigned projects and hold it through value engineering, procurement, and site realities.
- Own the decisions on space planning, material palettes, and detailing where priorities compete, and explain the rationale to clients and internal teams.
- Help shape the studio's design standards through the quality of work and the rigour of the reviews you run.

Client Leadership

- Act as the senior design counterpart in day-to-day client interactions — understanding their business goals, workplace strategy, and cultural ambitions, and translating them into a spatial vision.
- Lead client presentations and design workshops, and steer conversations toward decisions.
- Build trust through clarity, responsiveness, and follow-through across the design lifecycle.
- Lead the design content of pitches and pursuits, working alongside the Director on the overall narrative.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor the designers on your projects — allocating work, reviewing output, and building their judgment.
- Run design reviews and critiques that sharpen the work and raise the team's level.
- Set expectations on quality, pace, and accountability, and coach people to meet them.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance conversations for your team.

Concept to Execution

- Own the concept package end to end: space planning, material and finish strategy and furniture.
- Oversee mood boards, 3D visualisation, and presentation packages, and set the standard for how ideas are communicated.
- Drive space plans that balance workflow, ergonomics, density, and culture, and that make the most of every square foot.
- Approve material and finish specifications against aesthetic, performance, safety, and sustainability criteria.

Commercial and Delivery Ownership

- Build and track project design budgets and timelines, and make cost-conscious decisions without diluting design intent.
- Guide sourcing and procurement of materials and furnishings within agreed commercial parameters.
- Partner with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to keep execution aligned to design intent.
- Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction and permitting, and hold the team to documentation quality.
- Lead site inspections and quality reviews, resolving issues on site with authority and speed.

What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in corporate interiors / workplace design, including experience leading project teams.
- A portfolio of delivered enterprise-scale workplace projects where you held design ownership.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop.
- Proven ability to lead client presentations and contribute to pitches.

- Project management exposure and commercial fluency around budgets, timelines, and procurement.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and rigorous attention to detail.
- Active engagement with industry trends, innovations, and best practices — through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
