The individual will ensure 24×7 uninterrupted water availability, particularly for critical hospital operations, while driving water efficiency, sustainability, compliance and operational cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities1. Water Supply & Treatment· Manage the complete water supply and treatment cycle from source to end-user.
· Operate and monitor WTP, filtration, chlorination/disinfection and associated treatment systems.
· Manage raw-water sources including municipal supply, borewells and tankers, as applicable.
· Ensure adequate treated-water storage and uninterrupted supply across the campus.
· Monitor critical water-quality parameters including pH, TDS, hardness, turbidity, residual chlorine and microbiological parameters.
· Ensure potable-water quality meets applicable standards and institutional requirements.
· Manage RO, softener and other specialized water-treatment systems.
- Hospital Water Infrastructure· Ensure 24×7 uninterrupted water supply to the 350-bed hospital.
· Manage water requirements for critical areas including OT, ICU, laboratories, dialysis, CSSD, laundry and other clinical/utility areas.

- STP / ETP & Wastewater Management· Manage day-to-day operation and performance of STP/ETP systems.
· Monitor sewage generation, treatment efficiency and treated-water quality.
· Maximize reuse of treated wastewater for:
o Flushing o Landscaping o Cooling/HVAC applications o Other approved non-potable applications
· Monitor sludge generation, handling and disposal.
· Ensure wastewater-treatment systems operate within applicable regulatory limits.
- Water Distribution & Pumping Systems· Manage the complete campus water-distribution network.
· Oversee:
o Raw-water pumps o Transfer pumps o Booster pumps o Domestic-water pumps o STP/ETP pumps o Flushing-water systems o UG/OH tanks and sumps
· Develop preventive-maintenance schedules for pumps, tanks, valves, pipelines and associated equipment.
· Maintain adequate standby capacity for critical equipment.
- Water Consumption & Efficiency· Establish a daily water balance for the entire campus.
· Track source-wise consumption across:
o Hospital o School o Hostels/residences o Landscaping o Utilities o Other facilities
· Implement bulk and zone-level metering.
· Identify abnormal consumption, leakages and system losses.
· Develop initiatives to reduce freshwater consumption and tanker dependency.
· Drive maximum feasible utilization of recycled water.
- Sustainability & Water Conservation· Lead the campus Water Conservation & Sustainability Program.
· Implement:
o Rainwater harvesting o Groundwater recharge o Treated-water reuse o Leakage reduction o Smart metering o Water-efficiency initiatives
· Establish water-consumption benchmarks for major campus facilities.
· Identify opportunities for reduction in water and treatment-chemical costs.
- Maintenance & Reliability· Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

· Hands-on experience in WTP, STP/ETP, RO, pumping, storage and water-distribution systems.
· Experience managing minimum 2 MLD water infrastructure; 4 MLD+ preferred.
· Strong experience in preventive maintenance, vendor management and team supervision.
Preferred
· Experience in a hospital, residential school, university, hotel, township or large institutional campus.
· Experience managing 24×7 critical utility operations.
· Knowledge of hospital water-quality and wastewater requirements.
· Experience with water conservation, recycling and rainwater-harvesting systems.
· Exposure to BMS/SCADA, automated water metering and utility dashboards.
Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on water and utilities professional who has managed large, complex institutional infrastructure rather than only building-level plumbing operations.
The candidate should be capable of independently managing a 4 MLD integrated water ecosystem, balancing the very different requirements of a residential school and a 350-bed hospital, while ensuring reliability, safety, compliance, sustainability and cost efficiency.
Preferred Experience Benchmark:
