VC Analyst (Portfolio Management)

About the RoleWe are looking for a Portfolio Management Analyst to work closely with the Portfolio Director across a portfolio of Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A companies.

This is not a pure reporting role. You will sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and founder engagement - tracking how companies are performing, identifying risks and opportunities, and working with founders on initiatives that can materially improve business outcomes.

You will get exposure to multiple founders, sectors, business models and stages of company-building, with significant ownership from day one.

What You'll Do1. Track & Understand Portfolio Performance

- Track key financial, operating and strategic metrics across portfolio companies
- Build dashboards, portfolio reviews and performance reporting
- Develop a strong understanding of the underlying drivers of each business—not just the numbers
- Identify deviations from plan and surface key issues early

2. Turn Data into Insights

- Analyze company performance against plans, benchmarks and peers
- Identify early warning signals, key risks and growth opportunities
- Conduct deep dives on companies, sectors, metrics and business problems
- Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations

Work Directly with Founders

- Work with founders and leadership teams to structure business updates and operating metrics
- Support founders on fundraising, GTM, hiring, strategic planning and other high-priority initiatives
- Help companies establish the right KPIs, dashboards and operating cadence
- Prepare founders and the team for board / investor discussions

4. Support Investment & Portfolio Decisions

- Prepare analyses and materials for follow-on, extension and exit decisions
- Support investment team with portfolio-level insights and benchmarking
- Identify cross-portfolio trends, risks and opportunities

5. Build Portfolio-Wide Leverage

- Develop playbooks, benchmarks, tools and best practices that can benefit multiple portfolio companies
- Explore AI and automation to improve portfolio monitoring and value creation
- Work on high-priority special projects across the portfolio

Who We're Looking ForRequired

- 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, startup strategy or corporate finance
- Strong analytical and financial skills; excellent command of Excel / Google Sheets
- Ability to go from raw data → insight → recommendation
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of ownership




- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working independently in ambiguous environments

Strongly Preferred

- Experience working with startups or high-growth companies
- Understanding of SaaS, consumer, deeptech or marketplace business models and metrics
- Experience with financial modelling, dashboards or business intelligence tools
- Familiarity with AI tools / automation and a willingness to experiment with them
