We are looking for a creative and trend-aware Social Media Script Writer who can conceptualise and write engaging scripts for Instagram Reels across different brands and industries.

The ideal candidate understands what makes content hook-worthy, relatable, entertaining and shareable, and can turn simple ideas into short-form video scripts that capture attention within the first few seconds.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop creative concepts and ideas for Instagram Reels.
- Write engaging 15–60 second Reel scripts with strong hooks, storytelling and clear CTAs.
- Create scripts across formats such as:
- Educational/Reel explainers
- Trending & relatable content
- Storytelling
- Brand awareness
- Product/service promotions
- Problem–solution videos
- Tips, hacks & listicles
- Founder/employee-led content
- Voice-over and talking-head Reels
- Research current Instagram trends, formats, hooks, sounds and content styles.
- Adapt scripts according to each brand's tone of voice, audience and objectives.
- Write natural, conversational dialogue that doesn't feel overly scripted.
- Develop solid opening hooks to improve viewer retention.
- Include scene/visual suggestions, on-screen text and CTA where required.
- Work closely with the creative, social media and marketing teams to develop content ideas.
- Rewrite and refine scripts based on feedback.




- Stay updated with emerging social media trends and viral content formats.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in social media content writing, copywriting, content creation or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to write in a conversational, engaging and social-media-friendly style.
- Strong understanding of hooks, retention, CTAs and audience psychology.
- Ability to write for multiple industries and brand personalities.
- Good knowledge of current Instagram trends and content formats.
- Ability to research topics quickly and turn them into compelling content.
- Strong attention to grammar, language and detail.
- Ability to work on multiple scripts and meet deadlines.

- Good to Have

- Experience writing scripts for brands, agencies or creators.
- Understanding of performance marketing and content strategy.
- Experience with Tamil/Tanglish content is a plus.
- Familiarity with Instagram trends, memes and pop-culture references.
- Portfolio of Instagram Reel scripts or short-form content.
