Role Description This remote SAP ABAP with Utilities role is a contract position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining custom SAP solutions for utilities processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and optimizing ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms aligned with utility-specific business requirements. The role involves collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand processes, translate requirements into technical specifications, and ensure high-quality, testable code.

The professional in this role will troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform unit and integration testing, support deployments, and contribute to performance tuning and ongoing system improvements.



Documentation of technical solutions and adherence to best practices and security standards are integral to the position.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Business Process design and optimization within SAP, especially in utilities-related scenarios.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, diagnose issues, and propose effective technical and functional solutions.
- Experience in Consulting, including working with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and advising stakeholders on best practices.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP FICO and related modules, with the ability to integrate ABAP developments into financial and utilities processes.
- Knowledge of Master Data concepts and practices to ensure accurate, consistent, and well-structured data across SAP utilities environments.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP (Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, Enhancements, SmartForms/Adobe, OO ABAP) and familiarity with SAP Utilities (IS-U) is highly beneficial.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools, agile or iterative delivery methodologies, and transparent written and verbal communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in contract or consulting roles within SAP environments and a commitment to continual skill development.
