Senior SAP BTP CAP / Node.js Developer

SPOSEA is looking for an experienced Senior SAP BTP CAP / Node.js Developer to join our product development team in Bengaluru. You will develop and enhance our BrightPrice software products using SAP Business Technology Platform, the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model and Node.js.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, influencing application architecture and taking ownership throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

What you will do

- Design, develop, test and deploy product enhancements using SAP CAP and Node.js.
- Build scalable cloud applications and services on SAP BTP and Cloud Foundry.
- Contribute to the technical architecture and future development of BrightPrice.
- Translate functional requirements and user stories into reliable technical solutions.
- Produce realistic development estimates and communicate dependencies and risks.




- Develop and integrate REST and OData services.
- Apply microservices principles when designing and developing applications.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for the solutions you implement.
- Keep user stories, tasks and technical information current in Azure DevOps.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups and planning sessions.
- Support User Acceptance Testing, production deployment, go-live and issue resolution.
- Share knowledge and help colleagues solve technical challenges.
- Use appropriate AI-assisted development tools to improve speed, quality and consistency.

What we are looking for

- At least eight years of professional software development experience.
- Robust hands-on experience with SAP CAP and Node.js.
- Practical experience developing applications on SAP Business Technology Platform.
- A clear understanding of SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and its available platform services.
- Proven experience building scalable web applications or cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of server-side JavaScript, REST APIs and OData.
- Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
- Understanding of the full software development and deployment lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile product development teams.
- A DevOps mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- An entrepreneurial, analytical and solution-oriented approach.




- Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate software development.
- Good written and spoken English.

Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage

- Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh or other container and orchestration technologies.
- SAP HANA and SQL-based application development.
- Java or Python development.
- SAP application functionality and integration.
- SAP Fiori user-experience principles.
- GraphQL.
- jQuery or other web-development technologies.

Education A bachelor’s or master’s degree, diploma or comparable qualification in IT, engineering or a related discipline is welcome. However, we place equal value on demonstrable technical ability, relevant experience, curiosity and a genuine passion for building high-quality software.
