THE ROLE

Modern cloud infrastructure depends on resilient and secure platform management firmware to ensure availability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

At Lattice-AMI, we're looking for a Member Technical Staff I who is passionate about BMC firmware development and server management technologies. You will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware for hyperscale server platforms.

You will work closely with platform firmware, hardware, validation,



and customer engineering teams to develop platform management capabilities, enable new server platforms, troubleshoot complex system issues, and enhance the reliability and security of large-scale datacenter deployments.

This is a highly technical role where your contributions directly impact server manageability, firmware quality, platform security, and customer success.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain BMC firmware features for hyperscale server platforms.
- Debugging and bug fixing of issues reported by customers.
- Develop an understanding of internal/customer workflow and integrate that understanding in all aspects of design and development.
- Working with stakeholders on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
- Perform unit testing of implementation and Create, Update, and maintain project specific documentation.
- Provide timely technical risk assessments, schedule estimates, and status reports.
- Manage complex tasks across competing projects and schedules.
- Driving firmware quality, performance optimization, and platform reliability improvements
- Document firmware architecture, design decisions, debug methodologies, and customer solutions
- Stay current with emerging firmware technologies, new industry standards and specifications

What You Bring

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 2+ years of BMC development experience
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
- Extensive experience in BMC development
- Hands on experience with OpenBMC services such as GPIO monitoring, Entity Manager, IPMI, bmcweb (Redfish)
- Knowledge on OpenBMC automation framework for unit testing
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting,



and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter capable of driving solutions independently and delivering results in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- 2+ years of BMC Development experience
- Knowledge on Kernel/driver level development & debugging
- Knowledge on Robot framework, Shell scripting
- Valuable zest for learning and adapting to changing requirements
- Experience working directly with OEMs, ODMs, silicon vendors, or hyperscale customers

What This Role Is Not This is not a maintenance or integration-only role. You'll be working on the core firmware that enables platform management, monitoring, telemetry, and remote operations for hyperscale datacenter servers deployed at scale across cloud environments.
