Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 1–2 years of experience and a strong interest in UAV airframe and subsystem development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to mechanical design, CAD modeling, analysis, prototyping, and testing, along with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to multidisciplinary UAV development programs.

The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support the design, development, integration, testing, and continuous improvement of innovative UAV systems from concept through prototype and production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support multidisciplinary engineering activities across UAV design, development, integration, and testing.
- Assist in the mechanical and structural design of UAV airframes, subsystems, mounting structures, and payload integration systems.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using Fusion 360 and SolidWorks.
- Perform and support FEA, stress, modal, and thermal analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with CFD analysis to evaluate aerodynamic performance and airflow characteristics of UAV components.
- Support the design and development of lightweight structures using carbon fiber composites, aluminum alloys, and other engineering materials.
- Participate in prototype fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing using conventional manufacturing and additive manufacturing techniques.
- Support ground and flight testing, collect test data, identify mechanical issues, and assist in implementing design improvements.
- Work with manufacturing and supplier teams for custom components, machining, tooling, composites, and prototype fabrication.
- Apply GD&T;, DFM/DFA principles, tolerance analysis, and design-for-manufacturing practices.
- Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, test reports, design documentation, and technical presentations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues during assembly, testing, and field operations.
- Collaborate with electrical, embedded, software, and other engineering teams for UAV subsystem integration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of UAV design, manufacturing, testing, and validation processes.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers while progressively taking ownership of assigned design and development activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.




- 1–2 years of professional or relevant hands-on experience in UAV, robotics, automotive, mechanical product design, or related fields.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, structural mechanics, materials, and basic aerodynamics.
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 and/or SolidWorks.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of CFD analysis.
- Familiarity with OpenFOAM and FreeCAD is a plus.
- Experience or exposure to composite structures, carbon fiber, aluminum alloys, and lightweight mechanical design.
- Familiarity with GD&T;, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, or rapid prototyping is desirable.
- Basic understanding of FEA, stress analysis, modal analysis, and thermal analysis.
- Hands-on experience with UAV assembly, integration, ground testing, or flight testing is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced engineering environment and learn new technologies quickly.

Role Overview

This is a full-time Mechanical Engineer position focused on the design, development, prototyping, integration, and testing of advanced UAV mechanical systems.

The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across UAV airframe design, mechanical systems, structural analysis, CFD, composites, manufacturing, prototyping, and testing. The engineer will work closely with experienced team members and progressively take ownership of mechanical design and development activities.
