Position Overview

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on AWS Lead Engineer to lead cloud modernization, engineering excellence, and AI-driven innovation for our Provider Payments platform. This role will work across all Provider Engineering Pods, driving scalable solutions,



reusable capabilities, and modernization of healthcare payment systems while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Drive modernization of .NET applications into microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Partner across all Provider Engineering Pods to establish engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
- Champion AI-driven engineering practices to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Influence technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, reliability engineering, and proactive monitoring.

Technical Expertise

- Strong AWS experience with EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
- Deep expertise in.NET Core / .NET 6+, C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and API-first development.
- Experience with SQL Server, NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and high-volume transaction systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud security, authentication, authorization, and secure engineering practices.
- Experience building highly available and resilient payment platforms.

AI-Driven Engineering Mindset

- Passion for leveraging AI and GenAI tools to accelerate software development lifecycle activities.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, code reviews, documentation, and engineering productivity.
- Ability to identify opportunities where AI can improve operational efficiency, developer experience, and platform intelligence.
- Drive a culture of experimentation,



automation, and data-driven decision making.
- Curiosity to continuously learn emerging AI capabilities and apply them responsibly within engineering teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8-12 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in AWS and .NET technologies.
- Experience leading cloud modernization and large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Agile delivery experience and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- AWS certifications preferred.
