Senior Snowflake/DBT Data Engineer
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake/dbt Data Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative. The role involves migrating legacy SAP BODS, SQL, and Informatica IICS workloads into a modern Snowflake and dbt architecture.

The engineer will work closely with onshore technical leads to develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines while adhering to enterprise architecture standards.

This is an immediate position requiring strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and advanced SQL, with a focus on ELT architecture, data transformation best practices, and migration validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop dbt models for staging, intermediate, ODS, and consumption layers
- Convert legacy SQL, SAP BODS, and IICS transformation logic into dbt models
- Design modular and reusable dbt macros and transformation frameworks




- Optimize Snowflake SQL performance and warehouse utilization
- Implement data transformation best practices using ELT architecture
- Create technical documentation, lineage, and source-to-target mappings
- Participate in code reviews and deployment activities
- Support migration validation and reconciliation
- Work closely with onshore technical leads to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
