Role Description The Forensic Audit Assistant will support the audit team in conducting detailed forensic examinations of financial records to identify irregularities, control weaknesses, and potential non-compliance. This is a contract, on-site role based in Kasaragod, working closely with senior auditors and partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing financial data, assisting in the review of financial statements, audit reports, and supporting documentation, and performing analytical procedures to detect inconsistencies or risks.

The role involves preparing working papers, drafting initial findings, supporting the preparation of forensic audit reports, and maintaining transparent, well-documented audit trails.

Assistant will also help ensure adherence to professional standards, coordinate with clients for required information, and contribute to recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

- Strong grounding in Finance and the ability to interpret core financial concepts and business transactions.
- Experience working with Financial Statements and related documentation, including understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Exposure to Financial Audits, with the ability to assist in planning, fieldwork, testing, and documentation of audit procedures.
- Ability to contribute to the preparation and review of Audit Reports, including summarizing findings and supporting evidence in a clear and structured manner.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including data analysis, variance analysis, and basic quantitative techniques to identify anomalies and patterns.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and accounting software; familiarity with audit or forensic tools is an advantage.
- Effective communication, ability to work collaboratively on-site with the audit team, and readiness to handle confidential information responsibly.
