Fractional CTO - Part Time/ Contract Basis

NuSwipe Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a growing technology company currently strengthening its product and engineering capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Fractional CTO to work closely with the founders and provide strategic technology leadership during the next phase of our growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and guide the overall technology strategy.
- Evaluate proposed system architecture and technical approaches.
- Recommend suitable technologies, frameworks and infrastructure.
- Identify technical risks and scalability considerations.
- Establish engineering and development best practices.
- Guide decisions around security, performance and reliability.
- Review technical documentation and development planning.
- Support founders in evaluating technical feasibility and priorities.
- Assist with interviewing and evaluating senior technology hires.
- Periodically review the quality and direction of engineering execution.
- Mentor and guide the internal technology team where required.
- Provide independent recommendations on important technical decisions.

What We Are Looking For:

- 15+ years of software engineering / architecture experience.
- Previous experience as CTO, VP Engineering, Principal Architect,



Engineering Head or similar leadership role.
- Robust hands-on understanding of backend and distributed system architecture.
- Experience with Node.js / TypeScript ecosystems or comparable modern backend technologies.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, queues, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, CI/CD and modern deployment practices.
- Experience designing high-volume transactional platforms.
- Strong understanding of wallets, ledgers, payments, reconciliation or fintech-style systems is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical trade-offs to founders and business stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and third-party API integrations.

Engagement: This is not a full-time CTO position. We are looking for someone who can initially work with us on a fractional-based engagement, The initial engagement will focus on technology assessment, architecture review, technical hiring support and strategic guidance, followed by periodic reviews as the technology team grows.
