Role Description The Assamese Educational Counselor will guide prospective and current learners in understanding INVESMATE’s capital market education programs, with a focus on Assamese-speaking audiences, in a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves counseling students and working professionals on suitable courses, explaining program structure, outcomes, and learning paths, and supporting them through admissions and onboarding. The counselor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions (in Assamese, as well as Hindi/English when needed), handle inbound and outbound calls,



respond to inquiries via digital channels, and maintain accurate records in CRM and internal systems.

Daily tasks include coordinating with academic and operations teams, organizing information sessions or workshops, and providing ongoing learner support to encourage course completion and skill development. The role also contributes to feedback collection, continuous improvement of counseling processes, and promoting financial literacy aligned with INVESMATE’s mission.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust communication and counseling skills, including fluency in Assamese and working proficiency in Hindi and English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
- Candidates should possess educational guidance and advisory skills, including experience in student counseling, career guidance, or training facilitation, preferably in finance, education, or skill-development domains.
- Candidates should possess relationship-building and customer service skills, including active listening, problem-solving, and the ability to build trust with learners and families over calls, meetings, and digital platforms.
- Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, including accurate record-keeping, basic CRM or data entry abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple inquiries and follow-ups efficiently.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and capital market awareness, with a genuine interest in financial literacy, investing, and market education; prior exposure to financial services or education technology is an advantage
