Profile – SAP B1 Techno Functional Consultant
n
Preferred experience – 4-6 Years
n
n
The Role:
n
We are looking for a techno-functional SAP Business One (SAP B1) Consultant to join our team. The
n
role will work with IT and business stakeholders to support SAP B1 implementation, customization,
n
integrations, process automation and ongoing system optimization. The ideal candidate will have
n
strong expertise in SAP B1 modules, SQL, SAP HANA, Crystal Reports, integrations and business
n
analysis.
n
n
Responsibilities:
n
1. SAP B1 Implementation & Support
n
Lead and support SAP Business One implementation, configuration, testing, deployment and
n
post-go-live activities.
n
Provide ongoing functional and technical support for SAP B1.
n
Analyze business processes, identify gaps and recommend SAP B1 solutions.
n
Manage hypercare and post-production support.
n
Drive system enhancements, optimization and continuous improvements.
n
2. Functional & Technical Expertise
n
Demonstrate strong knowledge of SAP B1 modules including:
n
o Financials
n
o Sales
n
o Purchasing
n
o Inventory
n
o Warehouse Management
n
o Production
n
o Integrations
n
Work extensively with SAP HANA, SQL and Crystal Reports.
n
Develop queries and support dashboards, reports and business insights.
n
Ensure appropriate accounting impact for SAP B1 transactions.
n
Work with APIs, databases and third-party applications for system integrations.
n
3. Business Analysis & Process Management
n
Engage with business stakeholders to understand business objectives,
operational challenges
n
and process requirements.
n
Gather, document, analyze and validate business requirements across Retail, Finance,
n
Production, Warehouse, HR and other business functions.
n
Translate business requirements into functional requirements and SAP B1 solutions.
n
Prepare BRD, FRD, process flows, functional specifications and requirement documents.
n
Conduct fit-gap analysis between existing processes and proposed SAP B1 solutions.
n
Evaluate the impact of system changes on business processes, integrations, reporting and
n
accounting.
n
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and system optimization.
n
4. Testing & UAT
n
Prepare test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements.
n
Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
n
Track defects and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
n
Validate system changes before deployment.
n
Ensure system quality, integrity and business readiness.
n
5. Retail & Warehouse Integration
n
Support integration of SAP B1 with retail stores and warehouse management systems.
n
Provide functional inputs for retail-specific applications and processes.
n
Support inventory, supply chain, warehouse and store operations.
n
Ensure seamless data flow between SAP B1 and integrated systems.
n
6. Integration & Technical Collaboration
n
Work with developers, integration teams and third-party vendors to implement SAP B1
n
enhancements.
n
Support API-based integrations between SAP B1 and enterprise/third-party applications.
n
Participate in technical discussions and solution design.
n
Coordinate with development teams for customization and system enhancements.
n
Explore and support integration of AI solutions with SAP and enterprise systems where
n
relevant.
n
7. Project & Stakeholder Management
n
Manage assigned SAP B1 projects and enhancement initiatives.
n
Coordinate project timelines, resources and deliverables.
n
Work closely with IT leadership, business users, functional teams, developers and vendors.
n
Act as the primary point of contact for SAP B1 business requirements and functional
n
discussions.
n
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
n
8. Training & Documentation
n
Create and maintain user manuals, functional specifications and process documentation.
n
Prepare process flow diagrams and requirement documentation.
n
Conduct end-user training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
n
Promote SAP B1 best practices across business functions.
n
n
Must-Have Qualifications:
n
4–6 years of experience as an SAP B1 Techno Functional Consultant.
n
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Business One implementation, configuration,
n
customization and support.
n
Robust functional knowledge of SAP B1 Financials, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse
n
and Production modules.
n
Strong expertise in SAP HANA and SQL.
n
Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports and SAP B1 query generation.
n
Experience with SAP B1 integrations, APIs and third-party applications.
n
Strong understanding of business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, BRD/FRD,
n
functional specifications and UAT.
n
Strong understanding of accounting impact and financial processes within SAP B1.
n
Experience working with business stakeholders, developers, integration teams and vendors.
n
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or
n
a related field.
n
n
Preferred Skills:
n
Experience in Retail, E-commerce, Supply Chain, Warehouse or Inventory Management
n
processes.
n
Strong project management and stakeholder management experience.
n
Willingness to travel as required.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
