Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator & Developer with deep expertise in
PostgreSQL
to optimize, scale, and support our product’s database architecture. The ideal candidate will have robust performance tuning experience and hands-on exposure to
pgvector
for vector-based search capabilities in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, functions, and indexing strategies.
Analyze and improve query performance using execution plans and tuning techniques.
Implement partitioning, replication, and high-availability strategies.
Manage and optimize
Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL




in production environments.
Develop database automation and data pipelines using SQL and Python.
Collaborate with DevOps, application, and ML teams to support scalable data access and vector search use cases.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA/Developer.
Solid expertise in PostgreSQL internals, performance tuning, and production support.
Experience with pg vector or vector-based retrieval systems.
Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and working knowledge of Python.
Solid troubleshooting skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
