Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
Provide leadership and direction for all Allied Health Sciences programmes.
Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, academic calendars, teaching schedules, and examination processes.
Monitor the quality of teaching, learning, practical training, and clinical education.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, university, and regulatory requirements.
Promote cutting-edge teaching methodologies, technology-enabled learning, and competency-based education.
Review academic performance and take appropriate corrective actions where required.
Faculty Management
Lead, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching faculty.
Participate in faculty recruitment, orientation, workload allocation, appraisal, and professional development.
Ensure adequate faculty strength and appropriate faculty-student ratios as per regulatory requirements.
Encourage faculty members to participate in research, conferences, publications, workshops, and continuing professional development.




Conduct regular departmental and faculty meetings and ensure effective communication.
Clinical & Practical Training
Coordinate with affiliated hospitals and clinical departments to ensure adequate clinical exposure for students.
Ensure students receive structured practical and clinical training in relevant specialties.
Monitor clinical postings, internships, skill-based training, attendance, and competency assessment.
Ensure appropriate laboratory facilities, equipment, simulation facilities, and learning resources are available.
Student Administration & Welfare
Oversee student admissions, orientation, attendance, academic progress, examinations, and discipline.
Address student grievances and academic concerns in a timely and skilled manner.
Promote student welfare, skilled ethics, leadership, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
