Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, machining centres, presses, assembly machines and other plant equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, lubrication systems, spindles and mechanical assemblies.
Plan and execute PM schedules, machine inspections and condition monitoring to minimize breakdowns and improve machine availability.
Handle breakdown analysis and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring machine failures.
Ensure timely replacement/reconditioning of machine components and maintain required maintenance spares and consumables.
Support TPM, Kaizen, OEE improvement and continuous improvement activities.
Coordinate with Production, Quality,



Tool Room and Electrical/Automation teams for machine-related issues.
Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, PM checklists and machine history cards.
Monitor MTBF, MTTR, machine availability and breakdown trends.
Support installation, commissioning, relocation and modification of machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, 5S, TPM and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for specialized machine maintenance and repairs.
Train and guide technicians/operators on basic machine care and preventive maintenance practices.
