About the Role:
nWe are looking for an experienced Manager – Management Consulting (Commercial) to support the implementation of a consultancy assignment with Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) and Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL).
nThe role involves driving commercial excellence initiatives across the distribution utility by improving billing efficiency, collection performance, customer analytics, commercial processes, and operational performance monitoring. The selected candidate will work closely with utility officials, project teams, and stakeholders to implement commercial reforms and enhance the financial and operational performance of the DISCOM.

nDetailed expectations from the role:
nThe Manager shall be responsible for providing strategic and operational consulting support on
ncommercial functions of the Distribution Utility. Key responsibilities include:
nCommercial Performance Monitoring

Support MeECL and MePDCL in day-to-day commercial operations.n




Review and monitor commercial performance against key utility performance indicatorsn
including:n
AT&C; Lossn
ACS-ARR Gapn
Billing Efficiencyn
Collection Efficiencyn
Identify improvement prospects and recommend corrective measures.n
Monitoring of Smart metering installation and Data analysis through HES & MDMn

nBilling Improvement

Develop strategies to improve billing efficiency and billing quality.n
Analyse of meter data, Both Conventional and Smart meters through HES and MDM to identify:n
Theft-prone consumersn
Low consumption casesn
Unbilled consumersn
Meter replacement requirementsn
Improve billing coverage across business units through data-driven interventions.n
